Youth Programs & Services
Teaching the young people of our church to grow in their relationship with God prepares them to serve Christ in all they do in their daily lives. As they grow, it helps to nurture our entire the congregation.
Some of the greatest moments of joy we find as a congregation come from the children who share in our worship. Whether they're entertaining us during children's choir or performing in a Christmas play, they're always sure to bring a smile.

Programs
Sunday SchoolChildren ages 3 to eighth grade are welcome to attend Sunday School every Sunday from September to May. It begins at 9:40 a.m. and then the children come to church for the children's moment, and then are released to sit with the congregation. Activities include arts and crafts, Bible lessons, singing and worship. |
After School ProgramThe goal of our Wednesday After School Program is to have an opportunity to be a part of the children’s life during the week. The gathering starts with input from the children for special prayers followed by a snack, then a short Bible study that children can relate to by hands-on demonstration or a skit, after which they can do homework or play until the program wraps up for the day. |
ConfirmationConfirmation classes are held on Wednesday evenings and during the Sunday school hour from the beginning of the school year until Easter. These classes, along with activities which further enhance the confirmation experience, prepare individuals to make mature decisions about their faith. While candidates for confirmation are traditionally seventh graders, this program is available to anyone, seventh grade and up, who wishes to be confirmed. In the United Church of Christ, Confirmation is the process through which an individual becomes a full adult member of the church. In our church, confirmation is not considered a sacrament like Communion and Baptism, but it is nonetheless a very formal rite of the church. |
YPL Pound Sunday was September 16. Youth gathered after church and assembled sandwiches to be donated to St. Patrick's Center in St. Louis. |
