We Say Yes To Missions
St. John UCC provides support to a variety of programs through missions locally, nationally and internationally.
LOCALLY WE SAY YES TO MISSIONS!
From doing our part to support children through programs such as Bi-County Back Pack Program and Kindercottage to participating in events such as the Hike & Bike for Hoyleton Youth & Family Services, the St. John UCC family will move heaven and earth to say YES when we learn there are those in our community who ask for our help!

Feeding Kids Every Day of the Week
Our church works with other churches and community organizations to collect food donations and fill backpacks so that children in our community have enough to eat every weekend. We currently feed over 120 children 52 weeks a year!

Kindercottage
|
Our primary support to Kindercottage is through a Christmas gift drive where we donate numerous gifts for the children served by their ministry.

We have provided Hoyleton with school supplies as well as giving several of the children with Christmas gifts each year. This past year we also provided bedding for the residential clients and families they serve.
Books were also donated for their libraries. In addition, each year our church hosts the Walk-a-Thon/Bike-a-Thon, and the proceeds benefit Hoyleton. This event is supported by many of the churches in the Illinois South Conference.

NATIONALLY WE SAY YES TO MISSIONS!
Over the years, when devastating tornadoes destroyed communities like Greensburg, Kan., Joplin, Mo., and Carbondale, Ill., our church members packed up their vehicles each time and made the trip to join rebuilding efforts. Across town or across the nation, our members say YES to missions.

INTERNATIONALLY WE SAY YES TO MISSIONS!
Hearing Jesus' call to go beyond our borders, we roll up our sleeves to build homes in Ecuador and support their many missions to lift up those in need. Our church members have also volunteered with hurricane recovery work in Puerto Rico. We hear you calling Lord and we say Yes!
